The Best Things to Do with Kids in Singapore

Water parks, playgrounds, clean public transportation, and more! There are tons of opportunities to keep the kids entertained in Singapore!

Singapore is full of great things to keep kids busy! Waterparks, playgrounds, clean public transportation, and more offer tons of opportunities to keep the kids entertained. Whether you’re visiting or living in the Lion City, here are our top picks for family-friendly fun:

Gardens by the Bay – Children’s Park. This free play area in Gardens by the Bay is a paradise for kids! Younger children will love the splash pad and climbing structures nestled among the trees and lush vegetation. Nearby the water area, there are shaded spots for parents to relax. Gardens by the Bay has so much more to offer, including the Cloud Dome, Supertrees, and seasonal festivals and exhibits. The area tends to be a bit warmer than other parts of Singapore, so wear light, breathable clothing.

Wild Wild Wet Water Park . One of Singapore’s largest water parks, Wild Wild Wet is a classic waterpark featuring a variety of colorful slides for kids of all ages, a wave pool, play structures, and a lazy river. While it’s somewhat worn down, this is often true for waterparks, particularly in tropical areas. They offer food and adult beverages. For an additional fee, you can rent a cabana for the day for added privacy. Purchasing tickets in advance online is generally cheaper than buying them at the entrance.

SuperPark. Located in Suntec City, SuperPark is an indoor adventure playground. You can book two-hour time slots for your kids. Children under eight years old must be accompanied by an adult (who must also purchase a ticket). For kids over eight, you can sign them in and let them roam free! The mall has plenty for adults to explore while the kids play. Our favorite spot is the restaurant True Cost, located on the roof. We enjoy having a quick meal up top while the kids play several floors below!

Top of Marina Bay Sands. If you’re comfortable with heights, the SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands offers breathtaking panoramic views of Singapore. You can spot all the landmarks, like the Supertree and Merlion Park, from above. Tickets can be bought in the Marina Bay Sands lobby.

Ride in the Top Front of a Double-Decker Bus. A fun and affordable activity is to hop on the upper deck of a double-decker bus. Sit in the very front and you’ll feel like you’re driving through the city. All public transport in Singapore is clean and safe, and the buses are no exception. Any double-decker bus will be fun, but a scenic route, like bus 36, is even more special.

Changi Waterfall & Climbing Structure. Changi Airport is known for being one of the best in the world, and it is a destination all its own. The indoor waterfall is mesmerizing, and the canopy park features mazes, bouncing nets, and a massive climbing structure. All of this is on the “public side” of the airport, so you don’t need a plane ticket to access it.

Karaoke Rooms. As a family that loves music, we always get a kick out of renting a karaoke room for a few hours. K.Star has themed rooms, child-friendly song selections, and food and drinks are available. If your kids have a performer spirit, it makes for a wonderfully fun (albeit loud) afternoon.
